VOLUNTEER TODAY!
To make our school an extraordinary place to learn, we need your help. Your time is very precious to us. Your help with any of the following programs would be greatly appreciated.
If your time is flexible:
- NURSE: Help out in the Nurse's office when she is not there.
- CLASSROOM: Help out during the school days by aiding your child's teacher.
- MORNING MONITOR: Before school starts, make sure children in common areas are safe and calm.
- VALET: Help outside school so that parents can drop off their kids safely.
- PTA BOARD: Take a position on the PTA Board!
- SPECIAL EVENTS: Help out during one of our Special Events, or maybe even help organize it! See the Special Events section for a current list of events and projects.
If you work full-time:
- GARDENING: Join the Green Team! Make sure the gardens are in tip-top shape and watered and help kids learn about and appreciate nature.
- EVENING: Sometimes we have a dance or other school event during the evening. We always need an extra hand.
- WEBSITE: Help maintain our school website and/or Flea Market website.
- COOKBOOK: Coordinate, edit, collaborate, contribute your recipes and ideas, and/ or create artwork.
- JOHN MUIR FLEAMARKET: Help out during a shift to open or close the Saturday Market.
- MAILINGS: You can help out with various mailings or occasional phone calls when it is convenient for you.
- TRANSLATE: Help the Spanish liaison translate mailings and other flyers.
